The Brady City Council will meet for its second monthly session on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. The meeting will begin with a public hearing with four items open to the public for questions. The first hearing will give citizens the opportunity to lodge questions or comments regarding the proposed Parks Master Plan. Another hearing open to public comments is regarding a proposed annexation of several acres of land that surround the current City of Brady golf course. The is a necessary step that will allow the city to use the land for the golf course expansion after it is given to the City by the Heart of Texas Golf Association. The third public hearing concerns establishing a City of Brady enterprise zone. The final item up for a public hearing is in regard to levying of taxes for the use and support of the City of Brady for the year 2001. The establishment of the City of Brady enterprize zone and the possible levying of taxes for the use and support of the City of Brady for 2001 will both be considered for approval as ordinance on their first readings. Another ordinance on Wednes-day’s agenda is the first reading of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 631 designating truck routes in the City of Brady. As an action item, the City Council will consider authorizing the Heart of Texas Golf Association to oversee construction of an additional nine holes at the golf course. Also, the Council will consider awarding a bid for the TCDP water and sewer improvement project. As the final action item, the Council will consider approving a resolution authorizing an agreement between the City of Brady and the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce regarding the G. Rollie White Complex. A presentation regarding the Brady Economic Development Corpora-tion’s annual activities report will be addressed as a discussion item as well as a request by Loretta Murray to discuss actions and activities of the Brady Police Department regarding recent bomb threats against Brady ISD. An executive session concerning the electric supervisor’s position will be held, and the meeting will adjourn following reports from the city manager and city finance officer.
