The Brady seventh grade football teams took on the Llano Yellow Jackets Thursday night, but were unable to oust the feisty stingers losing 26-0 and 28-0. The Gold team fought hard, but were unable to muster any points as the ‘Jackets scored once in each quarter. “This game was a lot closer than the score indicates,” said coach Chris Wienecke. “It is hard to say that we have improved on offense or defense, but we have come a long way. The kids continue to play hard and these kids need to know that improvement is not measured in wins or losses. “Regardless of our record, I am very proud of these kids. They have come a long way on defense.” In the Black team’s game, the Bulldogs put up a strong effort but could not manage any trips to the end zone as the ‘Jackets again scored once in each quarter to bring home the 28-0 win. The seventh grade teams will travel to Burnet this week for their next games which begin at 5 p.m.
