The Brady Bulldogs got two surprises prior to game time last Friday in Ballinger. First of all, the game started at 8 p.m. “We thought the game would begin at 7:30 p.m. like all our games this season,” Brady coach Davy DuBose said Wednesday. “In every thing we had received prior to last Friday, it said 7:30,” he said. The second surprise came when the coaches attempted to fill up their jugs of water, and brown liquid came out of the faucets. “A Ballinger man told us that everyone in town was using bottled water because their water supply was no good. We had to borrow money from coach Bill Brown, he was the only one who had brought any, and go to Wal-Mart and buy a bunch of bottled water,” DuBose said. No one had advised the Brady officials of the turn of events.
