St. Patrick’s Fall Festival this Sunday at civic center

A sure sign that fall is back, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will once again sponsor its annual Fall Festival Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Heart of Texas Civic Center. A growing tradition in Brady, the annual festival is the church’s main fund raising event. Keeping in step with previous years, the big ticket item will once again be the raffle of a 2001 1/2 ton short bed Chevrolet Silverado. Tickets may be purchased through Sonic Drive-In where the vehicle is available for viewing, church parishioners or the church office. Other activities and booths will be offered throughout the day including an auction, Bingo, a country store, cake walk and select games. “Several local businesses have donated merchandise for the festival,” said Mary Lou Lira with St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. “If it wasn’t for our local businesses this event wouldn’t even be possible. They really pitch in and help us out a lot.” The ever-popular German sausage/turkey and dressing meal will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meal tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children.
