ROTARY SPOKES

The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at noon at the Caf’ at the Depot. Student Rotarian Jacquelyn Skaggs was present for her second visit. She informed the club of her intentions to become a teacher and also become involved in drama. Program chairman Clair Whitesell introduced Joe Mosier, airport manager. He informed us of the improvements that are to be made at the airport. We hope to get grants of three to five million dollars in the next year. The airport should bring in 200 jobs in the next few years. Members having perfect attendance in September were Jeanagayle Behrens, Dayton Boren, Lee Coffman, Steve DeFiore, Connie Locklear, Bill Mann, Wadena McAlister, Mac McWilliams, Bill Ricks, Orlando Rubio, Mike Schaffner, Mike Seidenberger and Clair Whitesell. Orland Rubio won the gift of the month, a Rotary bud vase. The $2 bill was won by president Steve for being the first to say that a mule is the offspring of a mare and a donkey. Upcoming program chairmen are: Oct. 9’Lynn Munden; Oct. 16’Sandra Youree; Oct. 23’Jeanagayle Behrens; Oct. 30’Dayton Boren (also brown bag at Brady Middle School).
