Michelle Marie Wood and Justin Kirk Wiley were united in marriage at 2 p.m. on July 14 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station with Father Mike Sis officiating. The bride is the daughter of John and Sandi Martin of Brownwood and the granddaughter of Gerald and Alice Bures of Ganado. The groom is the son of Milford and Jerrie Wiley of Ballinger and is the grandson of June Rice and the late Jerrell Rice of Rochelle. He is also the great-nephew of Kenneth and Ila Mitchell and the great-great-nephew of Ben Morrison, all of Rochelle. The bride wore a full-length white organza gown with pearls, lace and iridescent sequins adorning the bodice, back and hemline of the full skirt and train. The headpiece was a circle of pearls with a fingertip-length veil. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white roses, morning glories and hydrangea. Maid of honor was Stacey Sustala of College Station. Bridesmaids were Tammy Mill of Brownwood, Crystal Hafernick of College Station, cousin of the bride, and Lela Cape Taubert of El Campo, cousin of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Stefanie Bures of Ganado, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Daniell Stavinoha of East Bernard, cousin of the bride. The attendants wore a purple glimmer knit top and an a-line skirt of purple L’amour satin designed by Bari Jay. They carried clutch bouquets of purple and white roses. Best man was Blake Wiley, brother of the groom, of Austin. Groomsmen were Aaron Fritze of College Station, Jason Strube of Ballinger and Willis Taubert of El Campo. Junior groomsman was John Martin of Brownwood, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Austin Wiley, cousin of the groom, of Dallas. Serving as ushers were Jeremiah Gore of North Richland Hills, Justin Strube of Ballinger, Jason Wiley, cousin of the groom, of San Angelo and Keith Wiley, cousin of the groom, of Austin. Vicki Wood, sister of the bride, of Ft. Morgan, Colo., and Howard Wood, brother of the bride, of College Station, were the witnesses. The readers were Melissa Bures, cousin of the bride, of Ganado and Shauna Halfmann of College Station. The organist was Carolyn Slaughter of Ballinger. Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held at the Brazos Center. Members of the houseparty were Ashley Abilez, Bettye Anthony, Cindy Bures, Cynthia Bures, Renee Bures, Kathy Fritze, Melody Garcia, Cathy Hafernick, Lori Lawson, Kristen Mannerino, Courtney Roach, Katelyn Roach, Paula Roach, Carolyn Slaughter, Mary Stavinoha, Julie Wiley and Vicki Wood. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Brownwood High School and a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University. She is currently employed as a teacher at Henderson Elementary in Bryan. The groom is a 1996 graduate of Ballinger High School. He attended Hardin-Simmons University and is currently a student at Texas A&M University. After a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple is making their home in College Station.
