Frank Vinsim King, 25, died of cancer on Friday, Sept. 14. Services were held Monday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls with graveside services and burial at 2 p.m. at Wagram Cemetery near Fredonia. Pallbearers were J. Scott Blair, Matt Becker, Hunter Cameron, Cade Humphries, Michael Lucksinger, Joe Potter, Dillon Stone and Ken McGaff. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Banner, Barrett Bishop, Brandon Bishop, Bill Burnham, Paul Cloud, Joe Frank Atkinson, Jack Gartman, Klayton Hartley, Bryan King, Mason King and Sam Starling. Frank was born July 29, 1976 in Austin. He graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1994 and attended the University of Texas in Austin on a National Merit Scholarship, earning an honors degree in civil engineering. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and the Silver Spurs who are the official handlers of Bevo, the Longhorn mascot. He was also a member of Chi Epsilon engineering honors fraternity. After graduation Frank was employed in the family business of Bay Maintenance Company, Inc. of Horseshoe Bay. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Frank Dan and Melanie King of Brady; his mother and stepfather, Rhonda Burnham and Paul Muller of Round Mountain; two brothers, Sean King and wife, Shannon, of Round Mountain and Heath McBride and wife, Larissa, of San Antonio; a sister, Cassie McBride of Fort Worth; grandparents, John L. and Francis King of Brady, Winston and Tina Burnham of Marble Falls and James and Drucilla Banner of Burnet; nieces, Quigley King and Sabrina Blankenship; nephews, Ezzra King and Adam Blankenship; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Brady Presbyterian Church or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
