Nona Alma Lloyd, 95 of Brady, died Saturday, Sept. 8 in Brady. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, Rev. Fred Murray officiating. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born Dec. 25, 1905 in Lohn, she was the daughter of Alfred Webster Jones and Emma Mae Blackwell Jones. She married William Thomas Lloyd on Feb. 19, 1922 in Doole. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church and the Triple S Club of First Baptist Church of Brady. Also, she was a member of the Mercury VFW Post 510 Womens Auxiliary and a former member of the Heart of Texas Genealogical Society. Survivors include a son, David N. Lloyd and wife, Imogene, of Brownwood; a daughter, Edwina June Mayfield and husband, Don, of Chandler, Ark.; a sister, Dorothy Rodgers of Brady; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Edwin and Vernon; two brothers and three sister.
