The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at noon at the Caf’ at the Depot. President Steve DeFiore extended thanks to all who helped man the Rotary booth at the Goat Cook-off. This included Rotarians, their family members, as well as BHS Interact students. Program chairman Bill Ricks introduced Gayla Bowen, a director with the Keep Brady Beautiful program. Gayla showed a nice framed certificate that was awarded to Brady as second place state winner by the Keep Texas Beautiful program. She told us that this program was done only with the help of the City of Brady, many volunteers, McCulloch County, Boy Scouts and Rotarians. Up-coming KBB programs will also have environmental improvements. The $2 bill was won by Connie Locklear for being the lucky handshaker, number five. Program Chairman for Sept. 11 is President Steve. He will lead a Club Assembly to discuss up-coming programs, policies and events.
