Gwen and Sterling Fullagar will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on September 9 in Brady. They will be honored by their children and grandchildren at a reception on September 22 at the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. Gwen and Sterling were married in Brady on September 9, 1941. They spent most of their 60 years of marriage in Ft. Stockton, Texas, before retiring to their ranch near Lohn in 1977. Sterling retired as a supervisor with the Texas Highway Dept., and Gwen retired after 25 years as an elementary school teacher. The Fullagars have one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Doniene Fullagar, who live near Lohn; and one daughter and son-in-law, Fred and Patti Fullagar Willems, who live in College Station, Texas. They have six grandchildren; Kelly Yawn Langdon and Brian Yawn; and Mikkie, Mandie, Rygh and Mollie Fullagar. Their family would like to thank them for their wonderful example of a loving marriage and wish them many more happy years together.
