A fast-moving line of thunderstorms that blew through the area late Monday afternoon caused a power outtage for much of Brady for nearly one hour. According to Brad Childs with the City of Brady, the outtage was caused by two West Texas Utilities electrical poles being knocked over that caused a breaker to trip in a substation near Eden. The power was restored when the breaker was switched back on. The storm blew through Brady and McCulloch County and dropped various amounts of rain ranging from a trace in Brady to nearly an inch in other portions of the county. The storm was accompanied by winds that gusted to over 40 miles per hour.
