Marjorie Shahan, 72

Marjorie Shahan, 72 of San Saba, passed away Monday, Aug. 27 in San Angelo. Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 30 at the First Baptist Church of San Saba at 3 p.m. with Rev. Pat Riley officiating and Rev. Sam Crosby assisting. Interment followed at the Harris Cemetery. Born Jan. 1, 1929, in San Saba, she was the daughter of Albert L. Taylor and Gladys Perry Taylor. On Jan. 2, 1947, she married Jimmie Doran Shahan in San Saba. She was a member of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church. Her family was the center of her life, including many friends as well as her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Her time was invested in the well-being of those around her. The past few years were spent with her needlework and collectibles. She loved to share herself with others, investing her time in her needlework, then presenting it to a loved one with much love and affection in each stitch. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie, of San Saba; her children, Keith Shahan and his wife, Debbie of San Saba, Kathy Ringo and her husband, Tommy of San Angelo, Jackie Shahan and his wife, Donna of San Saba, David Shahan and his wife, Kathy of New Braunfels and her son-in-law, Chancey Blodgett and his wife, Lori of Richland Springs; grandchildren, Scott Ringo and his wife, Micki of Irving, Brad Ringo and his wife, Rhiannon of San Angelo, Bryan Shahan and his wife, Bonnie of Dallas, Kevin Shahan and his wife, Monica of McKinney, Nathan Shahan of Bryan, Jason Shahan of Lubbock, Stephen Smith of San Marcos, DeLaina Shahan of Waco, Jaron Shahan of China Spring, Sammi Jo Phillips of Waco, Casey Phillips of San Saba, Michelle Shahan and Darrin Shahan, both of New Braunfels, Shonda Blodgett and Shayna Blodgett, both of Richland Springs; one great-grandson, Reid Blodgett of Richland Springs; a sister, Mary Oldham of Marble Falls and an aunt, Lorene Perry of San Saba. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Nell Blodgett; and a granddaughter, Katelyn. The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba County EMS.
