Annie Elizabeth Stewart Mc-Anally, 69 of Brady, passed away on Monday, Aug. 27 in San Angelo. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at First United Methodist Church, Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Born June 5, 1932 in Mercury, she was the daughter of Joseph Damon Stewart and Sallie (Cox) Stewart. She married Joseph Hartwell McAnally on June 9, 1960 in Brady and John Turner on July 12, 1992 in Brady. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Donald Barley, CPA for 30 and one-half years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, John Turner of Brady; two sisters; Lanell McAnally of Brady and Marie Smith and husband, Jonnie of Early; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Joseph McAnally; four brothers, Otis, Raymond, Milton and Baby Stewart; and two sisters, Mildred Stewart and Vera Clauss.
