Harold R. Weaver, 73, of Brady, died Saturday, July 7 in Brady. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9 at the First Christian Church in Brady, Dr. John Stewart, pastor, conducting. Burial was in Rochelle Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home. Born Feb. 18, 1928, in Pancake, Tex., to J.T. and Ruie Watson Weaver, he married Ilene McLemore on Nov. 18, 1948, at the First Christian Church in Brady. Mr. Weaver was a restaurant owner for 32 years. He owned and operated Weaver’s Smokeshack with his wife. He was a butcher for 24 years at Safeway/Piggly Wiggly. He also ran the Silver Spur in the 1950s. A member of the First United Methodist Church, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Ilene, of Brady; two sons, Johnny Ray Weaver and his wife, Kathy, of Alice, and Charles E. Weaver of Brady; a daughter, Debbie Weaver Mires of Brady; three grandsons, Jody Mires of Brady, James R.
