Pauline Ficker, 89, of Brady, died Thursday, June 14 in San Angelo. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18 in Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Rusty Kwast, minister of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Hext Cemetery. Born March 7, 1912, in Harper, she was the daughter of Stonewall and Willie Taylor Bowers. She married Max Ficker on Sept. 23, 1933, in Hext. He died in 1992. Mrs. Ficker was a homemaker and a member of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Pylant and her husband, Bill, of San Antonio; a granddaughter, Kristi Denkeler and her husband, Brandon, of San Antonio; two brothers, Ray Bowers and his wife, Dixie, of Fort Worth, and C.E. Bowers and his wife, Verlyn, of Fredericksburg; a sister-in-law, Thelma Bowers of Tomball; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Jeffrey Pylant, and a brother, Cecil Bowers.
