Miller, Underwood exchange wedding vows in Fredericksburg

An afternoon garden wedding at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg on June 2 was the setting for the marriage of Fara Leeann Miller and Matthews Mason Underwood. The Rev. Casey Zesch, cousin of the groom, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Foster M. (Frosty) Miller of Pontotoc. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miller of Bluffton and Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Virdell, Sr. of Llano, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Therese Lehmberg of Llano. She is a 1996 graduate of Mason High School and has attended Texas Tech University, Austin Community College and Howard College in San Angelo and will work as a dental assistant in Brady. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Weldon Underwood of Brady. His grandparents are Mrs. Naomi Vineyard of Roby and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Underwood of Mason. He is a 1989 graduate of Brady High School. He received his BBA degree in history from Southwest Texas State University in 1993 and a Masters of Education Administration in 1995 from Texas A&M University. He is currently the Principal of Mason High School. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece, ivory satin design by Allen B. Schwartz. The strapless, corset top with covered buttons down the back, flowed into a fitted trumpet skirt with a train. Miss Heather Hutto of Waco was maid of honor. Her dress was a strapless, a-line of periwinkle blue satin. Steven Ortegon of San Antonio served as best man. Music for the evening was provided by Scott Zesch of Mason, cousin of the groom. Members of the houseparty were cousins of the bride’Micah Milliorn of Llano, Brittany Rabb of San Antonio, Kiley Virdell of Fredericksburg and Jennie Webster of Pontotoc. The couple will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, and will be at home in Mason.
