Luis Sisneros Ruiz, 95, of Brady, died Sunday, June 10 at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital in Brady. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Brady, Father Colm Mulligan, priest of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, conducting. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Born Aug. 17, 1905, in Mexico, Mr. Ruiz was the son of Paz and Constancia Sisneros Ruiz. He married Dionicia Morin in 1923 in Brady. A lifelong resident of Brady, Mr. Ruiz was a section hand for the Santa Fe Railroad for 41 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Thomas (Tommy) Ruiz of Brady; four daughters, Louisa Castro of Shallowater, Kathy Montez of Llano, Veronica Castro of Brady and Diamantina (Rita) Sifuentes of Irving; a sister, Estaneslacia Medeles of Hondo; a sister-in-law, Adela Ruiz of Brady; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; two brothers; two sons, Raymond and Joe; and three grandchildren, Eric Castro, Mary Ann and Anthony Velez.
