CNB selected as June ‘Business of the Month’

The Brady/McCulloch Chamber of Commerce has selected the Commercial National Bank as its featured business of the month for June. Established in 1894, Commercial National Bank has served McCulloch and surrounding counties for over 100 years. The bank received its national charter in 1907. It was first located on the north side of the downtown square in what is now City Hall. The bank relocated to its current location, the corner of second and Blackburn Streets, in 1970. Approximately 8,000 square feet of space was added in 1997, doubling the size of the building. The Commercial National Bank has served under only five presidents over the past century: G. Rollie White, Otto Frederick, Fred Wulff, Jr., John W. Jones and Robert M. Barnhill. Currently, the bank employs 36 full-time employees in the accounting, bookkeeping, proof, note operations and lending departments. This financial institution has had a long history of being a financially strong, conservative and independent bank with assets of $80 million. The bank has been named as one of the top fortress banks in the state of Texas. “The board of directors and employees are honored to receive this recognition by the Chamber of Commerce,” said a CNB representative. “The bank has continuously strived to give Texas-friendly service to the community and to each individual customer. We are very proud to be a part of Brady’s business community, so we say to each of you a sincere, thank you.”
