Elvera C. Trigg, 85, of Brady, died Thursday, May 24 in San Angelo. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 27 following worship services at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Rev. Max Reynolds conducting. Interment was in St. Paul’s Columbarium at the church, under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Born June 12, 1915, in Goldth-waite, she was the daughter of Hez and Emma Tucker Cobb. She married Abner Trigg on Nov. 11, 1939, in Brady. A longtime resident of Brady, Mrs. Trigg served as assistant vice president at Brady Savings and Loan for a number of years. A member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, she was an avid gardener and cat lover. Survivors include her husband, Abner of Brady; two sons, Howell Gilliam (Gil) Trigg and William Sheridan Trigg, both of Austin; a daughter, Marilyn Trigg of Tallahassee, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, Beau Jacobson and his wife, Stephanie, and Cherryl Dianne and her husband, Daniel; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Cobb and Howell Cobb; and three sisters, Beulah Tucker, Ruby Andes and Stella Leslie. The family has requested that memorials be made to the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Brady.
