Four ordinances top City Council agenda

With an agenda which primarily consists of ordinances, the Brady City Council will join for regular session on Wednesday, May 16 at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. The first ordinance on the agenda complies with the rezoning of Block 7, Stanburn Addition located behind Lone Star Barbecue from Type A’Dwelling to Type D’Commercial for the purpose of a parking lot. A public hearing concerning the ordinance will proceed the ordinance. Up next are two ordinances on the agenda for amendment: Ordinance No. 799 regulating nonconsent towing and wrecker service; and Ordinance No. 316 regulating boat docks and other floating structures at Brady Lake. The final ordinance calls for the second reading of an ordinance authorizing restricted prior service credit to employees who are members of the Texas Municipal Retirement Service. As a discussion item, the Charter Review Committee will present proposed charter amendments. The meeting will adjourn following council comments, and reports from the city manager and city finance officer.
