Two Brady Lady Bulldogs were named to the District 26-3A all-district softball team, according to Brady coach Mickey Templeton. First team members were senior shortstop Kati Hines and junior second baseman Jana Partin of Brady were cited on the squad. A couple of freshmen, pitcher Brooke Young and rightfielder Kaleigh Adams were members of the second team. Lady Bulldogs on the honorable mention unit were junior Stefanie Crawford, a pitcher/second baseman; Vickie Raybion, centerfielder; and Stacy Lohn, designated hitter/catcher. The league’s most valuable player was Burnet’s senior pitcher Jackilyn Mitchel. Co-newcomers of the year were Wimberley’s Brittnay Ables and Liberty Hill’s Kami Crane. They are both freshmen. Other members of the first team were Amber Everett, Kym Kyzar, Jennifer Brooks and Cassie Browning, all of Burnet; Brittany Stevens, Julie Parker and Courtney Myers, all of Wimberley; Kristin Moore and Carrie Pearson, both of Liberty Hill; and Jordana Rode and Desiree Fry, both of Llano. Other second-team all-district players were Kristen Milliorn and Dottie Dilworth, both of Burnet; Megan Baker and Nichole Ables, both of Wimberley; Nikki Eberle, Lindsay Stifflemire and Tina Senkel, all of Liberty Hill; and Amber Franklin and Renee Dean, both of Llano.
