A slim agenda will have the Brady City Council meeting for their first daily meeting of the month on Wednesday, May 2 at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. The only action item present on the agenda is a resolution authorizing the signatures required for the implementation of the Texas Community Development Program Fund Grant. According to Brady City Manager Merle Taylor, the action item concerns a water improvement project south of Super S Foods and will include upgrades to both the water and sewer systems in that area. Two ordinances are back on the agenda, this time for their second readings: an ordinance amending ordinance No. 799 regulating non-consent towing and wrecker service and an ordinance amending ordinance No. 316, Section 2 and 4 under “License Fees’ regulating boat docks and floating structures at Brady Lake. To go before the Council for its third reading is the ordinance amending Articles 1 and 2 of the ordinance entitled Peddlers, Chapter 22, Brady City Code; and repealing all ordinances in conflict with the ordinance. An ordinance to make its first appearance on the agenda with a first reading will authorize restricted prior service credit to employees who are members of the Texas Municipal Retirement System. The meeting will conclude following reports from the city manager, city secretary and comments from Brady citizens.
