D’alva Glenn Shroyer, 79, of Corpus Christi died Tuesday, April 24 in Corpus Christi. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi. Graveside services, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, were held Monday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at Live Oak Cemetery, Alice Brown officiating. Born July 30, 1921, to Jesse and Jackye (Harvey) Glenn on the Glenn Ranch in Brady, she was married to the late Fred Shroyer. She was a homemaker and together with her husband, she was active in the Masonic Orders and craft shows. She was the past president of Social Order of Beausceants and past chairman of Daughters of the Nile. She was active in Easter Star. Survivors include a son, Les Shroyer, and wife, Jean, of Austin; granddaughters, Margaret Shroyer of Austin and Susan Atnip of Leander; two sisters, Jane Lemmons of Harper and Biddy Harkrider of Brady; two grandsons,; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, and a daughter, Kay Lynne Shroyer.
