Despite a better overall performance by the Brady Lady Bulldog softball team, the Wimberley Texans still handed them a sound defeat Friday when they downed the Dogs, 12-2. “Our infield had their best defensive game yet this year,” said coach Micki Templeton. “We had some costly mistakes in the outfield with two errors which allowed four runs and some others that allowed base runners to get into scoring position. “We did a much better job of hitting the ball this game,” said Templeton. “We were at bat 24 times, had five singles, one double and only had five strike outs. Every other time, we hit the ball and were thrown out at first.” Stefanie Crawford pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs. She faced 34 batters and gave up 14 hits, 12 runs, four walks and had one strike out.
