Pedro G. Perez, 92, of Brady, died Monday, April 2 in Angelo Community Hospital in San Angelo. Rosary will be read at 7 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born Dec. 2, 1908, in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico, he was the son of Feliz and Maria Garza Perez. He married Maria del Refugio Sandoval on Oct. 22, 1944, in Brady. Mr. Perez spent his early life working on a farm and shearing sheep. He later worked at McCulloch Electric Co-op, retiring in 1980 at age 72. His hobby was working in his yard. Survivors include his wife; a son, Pete Perez and his wife, Laura, of San Angelo; a daughter, Mary I. Villegas of Kingwood; a sister, Petra Aguirre and her husband, Manuel, of San Angelo; five grandchildren, Peter Perez of Plano, Mark Perez and his wife, Tanya, of Ozona, Matthew Perez of Round Rock, Hector Villegas and his wife, Maria, of Harlingen, and Nicole Villegas of Houston; three great-grandchildren, Austin and Zachary Perez and Andrea Marie Villegas; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Peter Perez, Rogelio Perez, Mark Peez, Manuel Aguirre, Matthew Perez and Hector Villegas. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
