Brady judging team qualifies for state meet

The Brady High School Future Farmers of America horse judging team traveled to College Station last week and competed in the area judging contest. The four member team successfully made a name for themselves as they placed first in their district. The Brady team consisting of Alexis Adams, Leslie Ranne, James Ross and Heather Gray competed and scored a cumulative score of 1,254 points out of a possible 1,500 total score. The first place winners had a total of 1,260 points. San Saba High School finished fourth with 1,251 points. Adams was eighth high individual in the entire district with a score of 430. The students competed by judging four halter and four performance classes as well as answering two classes of questions. The third place finish allows the Brady team to advance to the state judging meet that will be held April 27 in Lubbock.
