A bake sale to benefit Casa Care will be held Saturday, April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wal-Mart. All friends and supporters of the Casa Care after-school program for children are asked to participate in raising funds for this community organization. No other financial help is given to Casa Care other than the grants and donations by local citizens. Anyone who can bake an item for the sale is asked to deliver it to Wal-Mart that morning or to Caf’ at the Depot this week or call Marjorie Barnhill at 597-8711 or Mary Ann Smith at 597-1324 to make other arrangements. Bakers are asked to mark each item stating clearly what it is and who baked it. “Casa Care’s slogan has always been ‘working together to meet the needs of the citizens of McCulloch County’ and we need to work together to raise money for this program,” Mrs. Barnhill, treasurer, explained. “This is one way in which every person or family can give a little help.” Those who are unable to donate a baked good are encouraged to buy something at the sale.
