Edith Boatright, 43

Edith M. Boatright, 43, of Fort Stockton, died Monday, March 19 at the Hospice Home in Odessa after a four-year battle with cancer. Mass was held at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 22 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Stockton. Local services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (today) at the First United Methodist Church in Brady, Dr. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Born March 11, 1957 in Uvalde, she married Daryl Boatright on Nov. 5, 1980 in Fort Davis. Mrs. Boatright was a resident of Fort Stockton since 1985, previously of Andrews. She was a member of the Methodist church. She received her master’s degree in business administration from Sul Ross State University in 1981 and previously taught at Midland College before being employed by the Fort Stockton ISD in 1995. Mrs. Boatright taught the Business Professionals of America program in Fort Stockton until 2000 when her illness forced her to retire. She previously worked at the Texas Department of Transportation in Fort Stockton. Survivors include her husband, Daryl; a sister, Dorothy Oliver of Petus; a brother, Tommy Hubbard of Pearsall; a nephew, Jonathan Hubbard of Rockport; and two nieces, Nicole Oliver of Petus and Amanda Hubbard of Rockport; and her mother-in-law, LaVerne Boatright of Anson.
