Joan Cook, 66, of Brady, died Friday, March 8 in Brady. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10 in Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Randall Covey, officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born April 26, 1934, in Junction, she was the daughter of M.T. and Abbie Cameron Jones. She married Sydney Cook, Jr. Dec. 31, 1951, in Brownsville. She was a housewife and a member of the Resurrection Power Church. Survivors include a son, Michael Cook Sr. and his wife, Jeanette, of Brady; two daughters, Norine Martin and her husband, Stanley, of Kempner, Angie Brown and her husband, Morton, of Brady; her mother, Abbie Jones of Dripping Springs; four sisters, Mary Wallace of Cherry Valley, Calif., Billie Tracey of Dripping Springs, Wanda Jones of Ingleside and Joyce May of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993 and her father.
