Delores June Middleton Wethy, 65, of Kempner and formerly of Bady, died Wednesday, March 7 in Fort Hood. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 12 in the First Baptist Church of Kempner, the Rev. Roger Fnacher, officiating. Burial was in Kempner Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Born March 6, 1936, in Brady, she was reared and educated in Brady. She was employed at Pershing Park Elementary School in the Killeen ISD. Mrs. Wethy had resided in the Kempner community since 1962 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kempner. Survivors include her husband, Marshall Wethy of Kempner; three sons, Billy R. Roger of Nolanville, Marshall Wethy III of Denver, Colo., and Michael Wethy of Arburn Hill, Mich.; three daughters, Carolyn Scaff and Sherry McJunkin, both of Killeen and Sandra Forshee of Kempner; her mother, Lola Mae Underwood of Brady; a sister, Marilyn Schakrel of San Angelo; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Underwood.
