John Paul Jones, 36, of Brady, died Monday, March 5 in Bady. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 in Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Charles Hallford, conducting. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born June 13, 1964, in Waco, he was the son of James Harrison and Patsy Hoover Jones. He married Cathy Ewing on Oct. 13, 1981, in Brady. Mr. Jones was a self-employed welder and formerly worked at Heart-land Rig International. He also was employed at Roddie Wool Scouring for nine years. He was a lifelong resident of Brady and was a Christian. Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of Brady; two sons, Chris Jones and John Paul Jones, Jr., both of Brady; a daughter, Alisha Jones of Brady; his mother, Patsy Crow of Brady;a brother, James Edward Jones of Waco; a sister, Amanda Jones of Waco; a special friend, Ronnie Copeland of Brady; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers were Ronnie Cope-land, Eddie Jones, Samson Galindo, Chris Jones, Charles Ewing and James Ewing.
