Thomas Rogers Lindsey, 81, of Brownfield and father of Robin King of Brady, died Feb. 16 in Lubbock. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 in the First United Methodist Church in Brown-field, the Rev. Beverly Titus, officiating. Burial was in Terry Country Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Bonham where he was reared and moved to Lubbock in 1929 with his parents. He married Melba Bond on Sept. 23, 1949, in Lovington, N. Mex. Mr. Lindsey owned Lindsey Hardware for 48 years in Brownfield, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lions Club. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and a graduate of Texas Tech. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dr. Phillip Lindsey; a daughter, Robin King of Brady; a brother, Woodson Lindsey; and five grandchildren.
