St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will have its annual Mardi Gras celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 in the Brady Schools Cafeteria on West 11th Street. A Cajun menu of sausage and chicken gumbo, rice, salad and dessert will be served by members of the church. In addition to the meal, the public can enjoy a French Market with plenty of homemade items as well as a cake auction and children’s booths. All these activities can be enjoyed while listening to jazz music. The highlight of the celebration will be the announcement of the winner of a Frank Roddie original oil painting entitled “Morning Light.” Each adult ticket is a chance to win the painting. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children and may be purchased from any church member or at the door. A portion of the proceeds go to the Brady hunger program. The community is invited to take part in this festive and worthwhile event.
