The Brady Masonic Lodge will hold a Presidents’ Day supper and lecture on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. The speaker for the event will be Dr. L. Randall Rogers, who spoke at the dinner last year. His topic for the evening will highlight a past Masonic president. A native of Texas, Rogers is a graduate of North Texas University. He holds masters degrees from Southern Methodist University and the University of New Mexico in Greek and intellectual history. He earned his doctorate from Texas Christian University. Active in York Rite Masonry, Rogers is a recipient of the Knight York Cross of Honor. He is a member of the Scottish Rite in Austin and the Shrine in Fort Worth. The supper will take place at the Masonic Hall on Blackburn Street above the KNEL radio station. The meal, consisting of barbecued brisket and covered dishes, will be provided by the Brady Lodge 628 and Eastern Star Chapter 167. All Masons, their families and guests and others from the local area are invited to attend.
