Delaine Poe, executive director of the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce, has announced that the Chamber has made a benefits program available exclusively for its members. The program is a wide range plan which features tax benefits for participants that can significantly reduce their true costs. Included in the plan are medical and dental benefits, disability, long-term care, income protection, Medicare supplement, plus other benefits which qualify for government assistance through tax savings. “There are options for those who have difficulty obtaining medical insurance,” said Mrs. Poe. The need for a Chamber of Commerce benefit program was identified through a membership survey conducted in 2000. “The survey indicated that the prime need of the membership was access to a cost effective benefit program,” added Mrs. Poe. “The program was developed in collaboration with Lorna Moore of Moore Insurance in Brady and Norm Penick of Healthcare Quality Innovations, Inc., in Cibolo,” she said. A membership meeting is scheduled at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the Brady Schools Cafeteria. A general explanation of the benefit program will be given. Anyone interested in the program is invited to attend.
