The Burnet JV boys handed the Brady Bulldog junior varsity a 12-point, 57-45 loss that ended the season for both teams. The Brady squad ends with a 2-8 district record. They were 8-14 overall. “Both teams came out swinging, and both played hard,” Brady coach Larry Hoelscher said. “The difference is that their shots went in more times than ours did.” He said the “well just went dry in the fourth period.” Brady had closed to within five at the end of the third period, but the rally failed. “This team can play with anyone. We run our offense, defense and presses well, but the weak spot is shooting. The game had another factor as well. We were called with 18 fouls. They had only seven. They shot 26 free throws, and we shot three. Anytime you are on the wrong side of those stats, you are in for a long night,” Hoelscher said. He concluded by saying his team had a fine year, and he was proud of them.
