Band auction deemed a big success

The 31st Annual Famed Brady Bulldog Band Auction got off without a glitch Saturday morning with the help of KNEL radio station, Classic Cable and numerous Band Boosters. “We haven’t counted the proceeds from Sonic which usually brings in $1,500 to $2,000,” said band director Butch Crud-gington,” but we did total $10,600 from the radio station’s broadcast. “It was a great day for the auction. It’s actually closer to normal than the last two years were. Those were exceptional years, almost above average,” said Crudgington. High ticket items auctioned off included passes to the upcoming “survivor luau.” Sponsored by the Band Boosters, the event, formerly known as the mystery dinner, will be held in June. Other items auctioned included baked goods, gift certificates and merchandise from local businesses.
