Museum to host book signing

The Heart of Texas Historical Museum will host an open house on Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1-4 p.m. to introduce a new book, “A Soul Housed Up,” to the local community. Jane Coggin and her son, Bruce, have recently published a collection of writings compiled by Jane’s mother, Ethel Neal Yeager. Mrs. Yeager’s interesting and unique writing style takes the community back in time to life in the country as it was in McCulloch County in the early and middle 1900s. The first shipment of books which sold out quickly arrived at the Museum just before Christmas. According to Museum president Bert Striegler, “A new shipment has arrived and books are currently available at the Museum at a cost of $16 including tax.” The Museum cordially invites the public to meet and visit with Mrs. Yeager’s daughter and grandson who will be present at the open house for autographed copies of the book. Refreshments will be served, and anyone who purchased a copy through the first shipment is encouraged to bring the book along to be autographed.
