Lady Bulldogs suffer another close loss, Ingram wins by four

The Brady Lady Bulldogs registered another “tough loss” at Ingram last Friday night, bowing to the Lady Warriors, 49-45. With only one game left in their basketball season, the Lady Dogs are 2-7 in district and 8-18 overall. “It was a tough loss,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. “We didn’t execute from the free throw line, hitting only 10 of 23.” He added that the team got some calls that didn’t go Brady’s way and Ingram played inspired ball. “It seems everyone plays their best game of the season against us. As poorly as we shot, we still had a chance at the end. They just made the shots when they had to.” Kati Hines led the scoring for Brady with 25 points. “Our final game here Tuesday (tonight) against Wimberley will be ‘senior night’. We have four seniors on the club. Please come out and give these ladies the recognition they deserve. We’ll attempt to push Wimberley into a tie for second with Liberty Hill. It should be a good game,” Epley said. Score by quarters: Brady 13 8 9 15’45 Ingram 11 11 3 24’49 Top performers for Brady: Kati Hines 25 pts., 4 reb.; Jennifer Valdez 5 pts.; Jana Partin, 5 pts., 2 big FTs down the stretch; Crystal Pitcox 5 pts.
