A slow start was the culprit again for the Brady Bulldogs as they lost to Ingram Tom Moore there last Friday night, 69-54, in a District 26-3A basketball game. The loss dropped the Dogs to 1-7 in district play. They are 3-21 overall. “We just had another poor shooting night,” Brady coach Shawn Dalbert said of the game. “We’ve had that problem most of the season.” The Warriors took a 10-point lead at 22-12 in the first period and increased that to a 34-18 halftime margin. “We got behind early, and when we started getting back on our game in the second half, it was just too late,” the Brady coach said. Shawn Borchert had a fine night scoring, netting 23 points. Most of his buckets came by driving the lane and getting in close. Luke Price got hot in the second half and poured in four three pointers, three of them in the final period. The Bulldogs’ final three game are at home, starting with Wimberley here Tuesday (tonight). Llano will come to town Friday and Burnet will be here on Feb. 13, the last game of the season.
