The Brady Lady Bulldogs suffered another tough loss here Tuesday night when they lost to Liberty Hill, 77-64. “I’m really proud of the way our ladies competed. Liberty Hill was just unconscious shooting the ball. They hit, what was reported to me, a school-record 14 three-pointers,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. “That says a lot coming from a school that has won a couple of state championships. This is the way this season has gone for us,” he added. The Lady Panthers held a slim two-point margin, 17-15, after the first quarter, but extended that to 34-26 at intermission. “I’m so proud of our team,” the Brady coach said, “they had numerous chances to quit and go ‘belly up,’ but they dug deep and fought back. Everytime we made a run at Liberty Hill, they fought back,” Epley said. The Lady Dogs, trailing 56-39 entering the fourth period, did rally and outscore the Lady Panthers in the final frame, 25-21, but it wasn’t enough. “Kati Hines shot the ball really well, hitting seven three-pointers herself. I thought Michele Hyden had her best game of the year. “I’m encouraged by the way our sophomores and juniors have developed. They seem to improve each game. We have two games left, and I feel this bunch will continue to fight and compete,” Epley said.
