Hallford earns perfect GPA

Charles Hallford, a student at The Texas Academy of Math and Science (TAMS) located on the University of North Texas campus, has been honored for his perfect grade point average for the 2000 fall semester. In recognition of his outstanding academic work, his name has been placed on the President’s List. Only students who have earned a GPA of 4.0 on a course load of 12 or more hours during the semester were accorded this distinction. TAMS is a two-year residential program that allows gifted high school juniors to attend college classes and earn their high school diploma at the same time. Charles’ name, along with those of other 4.0 honorees, will also be submitted to the National Dean’s List, a publication that recognizes outstanding academic achievements of students throughout the United States. He is the son of Charles and Virginia Hallford of Brady.
