Fredericksburg Chorale to present 12th annual Pops Concert, Feb. 3-4

The Fredericksburg Chorale will be presenting their 12th annual Pops Concert Fund-raiser on Feb. 3-4. The first performance, Saturday, Feb. 3, will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a silent auction and a gourmet dinner. Tickets for the concert and dinner are $25. The event on Sunday, Feb. 4 is concert only and will start at 5 p.m. with tickets priced at $10 each. The concert entitled “Texas is for Lovers” will celebrate a western theme. A section of the concert will focus on civil war songs. There will be many solos and an audience sing-along to some southern favorites. Both concerts will be held in the Pioneer Pavilion at Lady Bird Johnson Park in Fredericksburg. Tickets are available from The Peach Basket, Dorer Jewelers, Bierschwale-Rees Insurance, Merrill Lynch or any Chorale member. The Pops Concert is the only fund-raiser of the year for the Fredericksburg Chorale. The FC organization has 50 adult singers from Fredericksburg and the surrounding communities and is currently in its 16th season. The Fredericksburg Chorale is under the direction of Dr. Rollie Blondeau with Mark Hierholzer as pianist and composer.
