Coming out with a hot hand, the Brady Lady Bulldogs dominated Ingram’s Tom Moore Lady Warriors here last Tuesday night, gaining a big victory in the District 26-3A race, 50-30. The Lady Dogs are now 2-2 in district and tied with Liberty Hill for third place. They are 8-13 overall. “I feel this was our most complete team effort of the season,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. The Lady Dogs came out ready to play and took a 15-7 lead after the first quarter. The score was extended to 31-14 at halftime, and by then it was just a matter of how much the winning margin would be. “Everyone played well. I thought Danielle (Snodgrass) played her best game of the year. She was great defensively, grabbing eight steals. She also got us into our offense with her penetration. She just did a great job,” Epley said. He added that Kati Hines still carries the team’s scoring load. “She plays solidly each game.” The coach also cited the post play of Jana Partin, Michele Hyden, Shauna Broz and Krystal Jacoby. “They really responded,” he said. “When they play like this, it sure helps our wings and guards out.” Epley said his Lady Dogs will be at Wimberley Friday. “They have been a state tournament team for the past two years. They are a good team, but I believe we’ll go down there and give them a tough game,” he said.
