The deadline to submit grant application materials for Catholic Life Insurance’s Grade School Grant Program is approaching on Feb. 15. Any Catholic elementary school in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico or Mississippi is eligible to apply for a grant of up to $2,000. Since 1995, the program has provided supplemental funding to seven Catholic elementary schools annually. Grant awards may be used for tuition aid, building renovations, teaching materials, computers or any other need/project the school has. Priority will be given to schools whose need is most crucial. All elementary schools in need are encouraged to apply for a grant. To receive an application, schools should contact Sadie D. Wilks in the Communications Department at (210) 828-9921, ext. 141. Founded in 1901 by a Catholic priest, Catholic Life Insurance offers life insurance, IRA’s and retirement annuities. Through programs such as the Grade School Grant Program, Catholic Life Insurance is able to give back to the community what it has so generously been given.
