William (Bill) Finlay, 87, of Brady died Friday, Jan. 12 in Brady. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Rusty Kwast officiating. Burial followed in Lohn Cemetery. Born Aug. 31, 1913, in Llano to James and Anna (Patton) Finlay, he married Madeline Horne on July 3, 1941, in Eden. He owned and operated Coleman Monument Works until retiring. He was an Army veteran and a World War S.H.A.E.F. He was a member of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ and of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Madeline (Madge) Finlay, of Brady; a son, Corey Finlay, of Brady; a brother, Earl Finlay, of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
