Getting a poor start most of the time spells doom, and that’s what happened Friday night in Liberty Hill for the Brady Lady Bulldogs, who fell to the Lady Panthers, 61-40. It was Brady’s second loss in league play against one victory. “They say you’ve got to play four quarters to win ball games,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. “Well, we didn’t play the first quarter last Friday night, and it cost us.” Liberty Hill jumped out to a 15-4 first period margin and held a 30-17 advantage at halftime. “The Lady Panthers shot the ball real well, in fact, their coach said it was their best shooting night of the season,” Epley said. “You combine that with the way we played, and it adds up to a loss,” he added. Epley said that his charges are still in the hunt for a playoff berth. “We are tied with Liberty Hill for third place. We’ve just got to take it one game at a time, play our game and see what happens,” he said. The Lady Dogs host Ingram Tom Moore in another district game here tonight.
