Ollie (Granddad) Harvison, 84, of Rochelle died Wednesday, Nov. 29 in Rochelle. Funeral services will be held Friday (today) at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Kenneth Barr officiating. Burial will follow in Rochelle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne (Cotton) Myers, Alvin Bolton, Richard Harvison, Tim Sellman, John Davenport and Don Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be J.H. Slaughter, Tom Bourbon, Lloyd Harris, Bill Huffman, P.D. Hendrix and Louis Kimbrough. Born Aug. 7, 1916, in Jonesboro to James and Jesse (Hallmark) Harvison, he married Nathine Sellman on April 21, 1936, in Rochelle. He was a World War II Army veteran, a trucker and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Nathine, of Rochelle; two sons, Mike Harvison and wife, Bea, of Rayville, Mo., and Terry Harvison of Rochelle; a brother, Don Harvison of Eustis, Fla.; a sister, Lizzie Davenport of Brady; a granddaughter, Tammy Nelson of Austin; a grandson, Adam Harvison of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth Harvison; and five brothers, Lee, Marvin, Virgil, J.E. and Raymond Harvison.
