Thelma Williams, 75, of Brown-wood and formerly of Brady, died Monday, Nov. 13 in Brownwood. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Calvin Gray officiating. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born Dec. 3, 1924, in Belton to Clarence and Alice (Gober) Peel, she married Paul (Pete) Williams on Aug. 15, 1942, in Brady. She was a housewife and a member of the Central Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include six children, Faye Stratton of Brady, Wayne Williams of Carbon, Pearlene Holster, James Williams and Williard Williams, all of Brownwood; and Margaret Stratton of Brady; a sister, Ruby Burnes of Mesquite; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Edward Williams; a daughter, Brenda Williams; two sisters; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
