Conley and Eloise Purcell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 25 with a reception at the Brady Schools Cafeteria from 2-4 p.m. The couple was married Nov. 25, 1950, in the home of Eloise’s parents, Tom and Minnie Brown, near Voca. They have been longtime residents of Brady and are members of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. Conley is a member of the VFW, Sheep and Goat Raisers and the Independent Cattlemen Association. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific, was affiliated with John Deere for 35 years and has been a rancher since 1952. Eloise was employed by Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio and The Pentagon in Washington D.C. during World War II. Returning to Brady after the war, she was a secretary for several years at Brady National Bank. The have one daughter, Conise Green, and three grandchildren, Co, Sara and Michelle.
